Terms of Service
Last updated: April 2026. Effective from launch.
Please read these terms carefully before using BharatDonate. These terms create a binding agreement between you and BharatDonate.
Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using BharatDonate, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform. These terms apply to all users — donors, registered account holders, and visitors. NGO partners are additionally subject to a separate NGO Partner Agreement.
The platform
BharatDonate is a donation facilitation platform. We connect donors with verified Indian NGOs. We are not ourselves a charitable organisation — we facilitate donations to NGOs that operate independently. We verify NGOs before listing them, but we are not responsible for how NGOs use the funds they receive, beyond what is disclosed in their own reporting.
Donations
All donations are final and non-refundable unless there is a verified technical error. Please review our Refund Policy for full details. By making a donation, you confirm that: • You are at least 18 years old or have parental consent • The payment method belongs to you or you are authorised to use it • You are not making the donation on behalf of a political party or for any unlawful purpose BharatDonate is not responsible for any tax treatment of your donations. The 80G certificate is issued based on information you provide — accuracy is your responsibility.
User accounts
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Any activity under your account is your responsibility. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or abuse the platform.
Prohibited conduct
You may not use BharatDonate to: • Make fraudulent donations or test transactions with real payment methods • Harass, abuse, or misrepresent NGOs or their staff • Scrape or systematically collect data from the platform • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system or account • Use the platform in any way that violates applicable Indian law
Intellectual property
The BharatDonate brand, logo, and platform design are our intellectual property. NGO names, descriptions, and field update content belong to the respective NGOs. You may share field updates with proper attribution. You may not reproduce or commercialise any content from the platform without explicit written permission.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
BharatDonate is provided "as is." We make reasonable efforts to keep the platform available and secure, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, BharatDonate is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform or from the actions of any NGO listed on it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in New Delhi, India.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the platform. Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance.
